about kulp photography.

a word from the photographer...

I have been a professional photographer for over 25 years. What started out as a hobby back in high school quickly became my passion. I couldn’t get enough seminars, courses, and educational books about perfecting my art. Along the way, I entered numerous photography competitions and won many awards. From the beginning, I had many people wanting to hire me to photograph their events, weddings, and portraits; quickly my photography turned into a business. I consider myself fortunate to have my life-long passion as my career. Doing photography never gets old, dull, or routine. Creating memorable images for every new client and project is both exciting and fulfilling to me.

Our photography style is relaxed, dynamic and expressive. For most events and weddings, I am assisted by my wife, Diane, who acts as a second camera and whose work offers a creative and alternative perspective. On other occasions, she is there to assist in posing, make-up, and lighting. Even group shots and large family portraits, which are so often difficult and time consuming, become swift and easy under our versatile, friendly direction. Our relaxed style of shooting allows us to capture images that are spontaneous and real. Our work is the result of a collaborative effort – we give you a little bit of direction and then let the rest fall into place. This approach fosters images that are natural and un-posed. We love to see the subject’s personality and “soul” come through in the final images.

Each moment of your special day or event may be gone in the blink of an eye, but we will capture it for you to enjoy forever. Whether it’s documenting an event, or capturing the emotions of a wedding, our goal is to tell the story in a creative and artistic fashion.

It’s important to us that we build lasting relationships with our clients. We are committed to providing a level of quality, professionalism and personal service that will exceed your expectations. Because of this, much of our business comes from referrals of past clients who were thrilled with the results.

our philosophy

Our philosophy is a simple one: keep things as real as possible. Our style of photography is very natural and expressive. It’s about capturing mood, expression, and emotion through the lens, and portraying them with our artistic vision.
